MissionLab Challenge

Schools compete by solving spacecraft missions.

The Challenge is how a MissionLab school turns practice into a season: the same missions, the same evidence, now against the clock and against other schools.

How the Challenge runs

Four stages, one spacecraft.

    Learn

    Teams complete training missions in MissionLab and learn to argue from evidence.

  2. 02

    Qualify

    Teams solve digital mission challenges to show they can handle an unseen problem.

  3. 03

    Prove

    Selected teams progress to supervised Arena and hardware opportunities.

  4. 04

    Compete

    When official rounds are activated, selected teams can progress to the final event.

The Challenge is part of MissionLab, not a separate product. A team that has run MissionLab missions is already prepared for it.

MissionLab Arena

Where selected digital missions meet real training hardware.

The Arena is the physical side of the Challenge: a supervised environment where a team can compare a mission they solved in software against a real training rig, with an operator present.

Arena access is selective and supervised. Physical acceptance and measured correlation remain commissioning work, and richer Arena environments are planned rather than available.

What is available today

Practice now. Official rounds are separately gated.

Practice is open

Guided and independent software practice is available without hardware.

Official authority stays server-side

Seeds, attempt authority and scoring remain protected. Official activation is still gated.

Hardware is a later lane

KidSAT demonstrations do not affect official software scoring. Any hardware division needs separate rules and safety acceptance.
