Optional hardware
MissionLab is complete in software. Students solve missions digitally and can progress to selected supervised experiments on real spacecraft training hardware, then compare results. Institutions add kits or a KidSAT one-axis trainer only when physical work supports the curriculum, staffing and safety plan.
Hands-on learning
A physical route into structure, subsystems, assembly and classroom engineering activities. Availability and configuration are confirmed through an institutional quotation.
Supervised experimentation
A functional one-axis reaction-wheel demonstrator operated through a trusted local console. Formal physical acceptance and measured Digital Twin correlation remain commissioning gates.
No learner needs a physical kit to complete MissionLab learning or produce software evidence.
A trained operator retains preflight, bounded-command and emergency-stop authority. Learner identity or subscription access grants none of these powers.
Simulation remains simulated. Telemetry from an accepted supervised run is measured and labelled as such. Correlation is training evidence, not flight qualification.
